I grew up on the Central Coast and left at 15 to chase dance, full-time, in Sydney and then Wellington. Pilates was always in the background, keeping me strong and injury-free through it. Eventually, it became the whole point.

I trained full-time in dance, first a Diploma in Sydney, then a Certificate in Dance and Performance at the New Zealand School of Dance in Wellington. Clinical Pilates ran alongside all of it. Somewhere in there I completed my Diploma of Contemporary Pilates through Tensegrity Training and started teaching, in 2021, across the Central Coast, Newcastle and Sydney.
Maemove is what happens when you take everything I know about how the body actually moves and build a studio around it properly: full equipment, small rooms, and coaching that pays attention. Not a chain, not a script. A place you'd actually want to walk into.
Real coaching is impossible in a room of twenty strangers where nobody knows your name. So we kept it to six. Quality before quantity, every class, no exceptions. You cannot hide here, but you also cannot be forgotten.
Jarrod, our resident physio (and my partner in life, not just the studio), is Head of Academy Physio for the Central Coast Mariners and a senior physio at Optimum Health and Performance. He works directly with our instructor team, so the coaching and modifications you get on the floor are built on more than a script.
Current members also have access to physio support through the studio. Ask us about it next time you're in.
Our Forresters Beach studio runs a full equipment floor. Most studios stop at the reformer. We don't.
The full-body workhorse, spring-loaded resistance.
Suspension, traction and serious core control.
Small, brutal, brilliant for balance and strength.
Mobility, extension and posture, the parts everyone forgets.
The instructors you'll actually see on the floor.
